Frequently asked questions.

What areas of construction do you specialise in?

Being a family business of multiple skilled tradesmen, we cover a variety of works within carpentry, plastering, painting, decorating and landscaping.
Send us your enquiry and we’ll be able to better advise if it is work that we are able to complete.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS?

Collectively we have been in business for more than 8 years.

Do you have the necessary certification and insurance?
All contractors at Douglas Renovation Group are trained, time served, certified and insured individually with at least the minimum amount of cover advised.
Can I see examples of your past projects?
We post most of our jobs across our collective and individual social media platforms as well as under the projects tab. We try to keep these updated as much as possible and some platforms may have more examples of our work than others.
Do you have client testimonials or references?
Yes we have started collecting reviews across our platforms. You can see some of these on our Facebook page here. More testimonials will be collected on our newly launched google business listing.

How are construction costs estimated?

All costs include the cost of materials and labour needed to complete your project.
How we charge typically depends on the type of work for example for jobs such as garden fencing, we would either charge per panel or per square metre while laminate flooring is almost always charged per square depending on the complexity of the work involved. More details on how we cost your project can be discussed when dealing with your enquiry.
Rest assured that we pride ourselves in transparency from start to finish.

What is a typical project timeline?

We agree the project timeline during consultation and it is worked out on how complex the project is, whether the materials needed throughout the project are readily available and how many trades will be required to complete the work.

What ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?

Payment terms vary depending on the work to be completed. Generally once you accept your quote, we will send a contract confirming that we will complete the work and you will receive an invoice for materials (unless ordering yourself) and a secure deposit before any works start.

We’re always updating this page with the most common questions from clients as and when we receive them.

Please get in touch with any further queries you may have and we’ll be happy to help.
