Summer
house
gutter repair

A newly installed garden summer house that had a number of damp and mould issues due to an incorrectly installed foundation and guttering system. After a thorough inspection, we discovered that rain water was collecting in the guttering, overflowing and running onto the foundation and running under the summer house causing a range of damp issues.

We undertook remedial work at foundation level, installing wrap around aluminium angles that act to redirect water away from the structure. We then cleaned, repaired and replaced the old guttering where necessary, creating the appropriate fall for water to run off the roof and into surrounding substrate to drain away without compromising the existing structure.
